after you shower, put your hair in a messy bun. when you hair has dried slightly, remove bun and spray with john freeda beach blond sea salt hair spray, or other type of sea salt hairspray you want. when completely dry, put hair in a half ponytail. curl bottom half with a wide barrel curling iron in 1 inch sections. spray with hair spray. let down top half, curl in smaller sections. spray with hairspray. DONT BRUSH CURLS. run your fingers through your hair, and tada! you have the messy curly look you are after.
