Baby proofing home - fire place help!?

I don't have a baby myself but some of my cousins have babies and my suggestion is a baby gate and also to keep an eye on her and help your baby stay away from there too. best i can do. if youre scared youre little one will crawl straight into it there are also i believe there are these door things you can buy as a safety guard that will seal that space i believe. (if you know what im talkign about you know those safe guard things i dont know the name of them but they guard that area so people dont gte too close. i hope this is of some help at least a little. i tried my best to answer your question here. so i hope this heps.)
