Good Texas history Topic?

im looking for a good texas history topic that i can use for my english project. my teachers set it up to support each cl, im doing a report on texas history while at the same time incorperating figurative language. it can be any topic, preferably one thats easy to make fun of. the english part of the ignment is to make a wanted poster, report card, brochure etc. on your topic and that must include your figuritive lanugauge. i just cant think of a good easy topic, i need three total, thanks for your help!
